Louis Normandin

Louis Normandin is co-founder and head of operations at Wild Capture, a digital human studio. An accomplished entertainment production professional, Louis has forged a unique path in the world of cinematography, technology, and spatial media activations. In his current role, Louis is pivotal in creating high-quality volumetric technologies and content, directing talent for the company's clients and prototype projects, and ensuring Wild Capture acquisition stages are operating at peak performance. He is also responsible for the company's internal and external communications with key partners and stakeholders.

Louis believes volumetric video that breaks the uncanny valley "is essential to capturing any human performance represented virtually or physically”. Calling 2002 the "Year of the Digital Human", he is excited to continue honing Wild Capture's spatial technology development efforts to help creatives find powerful solutions for digital humans in XR, metaverse and more.

During the last 25 years of his career as a camera operator and cinematographer, Louis amassed extensive experience nationally and internationally (14 countries and 23 states) on hundreds of feature films, episodic television, stereo, VR, virtual and volumetric productions. Working in the camera, grip and lighting departments, Louis earned credits on three Academy award-winning films, "Monster," "Into the Wild," and "The Green Book." His latest credits include Disney's "Crater", Netflix's "Home Team", and the upcoming live-action/volumetric video VFX film,"Anemoia", which showcases the capabilities of Wild Capture's proprietary volumetric video 3D pipeline
